The Department of Microbiology celebrated the ‘Pohela Falgun’ on February 13, 2017. Students from all batches of the department, faculty members and staffs have enjoyed the event with full of courage and excitements. A pitha utshab and exhibition of handicrafts have been organized in a very classical and traditional style where everyone became a part of Bengali culture.

An annual picnic was arranged by PAU Microbiology Club on 16th February, 2017. The location of the picnic was Srimongal (Madhobpur Lake, Lawachara Forest). Around 80 students from different batches including all the faculty members, staffs started their journey from the campus early in the morning. The whole day was full of activities including games, raffle draw and of course a lunch in the midst of the serenity of Lawachara forest.

Energy Hackathon is a process to explore the opportunities of creating smarter energy arranged by Ministry of Power, Energy & Mineral Resources along with some experts, engineers and entrepreneurs. Two group of Microbiology students participated the event with some noble ideas and got the opportunity to get involved with the valued engineers’ community.
